Job Description

The Remote Sensing Specialist will be part of the Service Consulting Unit, working closely with the sales and business development teams to develop solutions and provide technical consulting services. The role involves managing projects, particularly with Japanese government agencies and private companies, supporting customer development in both pre-sales and post-sales phases, and creating proof-of-concept solutions using in-house satellite data and other geospatial datasets. Additionally, the position requires writing technical reports in Japanese and collaborating with various stakeholders to meet client needs effectively.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in remote sensing or GIS
• Experience in satellite image processing and analysis
• Experience with proof-of-concept projects using Earth observation and geospatial data
• Project management skills including goal setting and data analysis
• Proficiency in Python; R or similar programming languages for image processing
• Business-level Japanese and English skills

Preferred Skills

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working with Japanese government agencies and companies
• Familiarity with optical satellite imagery and its applications
