Job Description

This Robotics company is looking for a Mechatronics Engineer with a strong focus on mechanical engineering to help develop autonomous mobile robots and associated hardware. The role demands predominantly mechanical skills combined with a solid understanding of electronics. You will be responsible for integrating mechanical designs with sensors, actuators, and electronic components, contributing to motion systems and mechanical assemblies. Collaboration with both mechanical and electrical teams is key to ensuring the creation of durable, manufacturable, and intelligent robotic solutions. Primary Responsibilities: Design electromechanical assemblies, integrating mechanical parts with electronics like sensors, actuators, and PCBs for components such as drive systems and lifting mechanisms. Diagnose and resolve electromechanical problems with effective troubleshooting strategies. Create comprehensive 3D models and 2D technical drawings using CAD, adhering to GD&T standards. Supplementary Responsibilities: Assist with simple PCB designs and plan electrical wiring layouts for robots. Evaluate and select key components including motors, encoders, and various sensors. Build and test functional prototypes, and drive the debugging process for iterative improvements. Design with manufacturing and assembly efficiency in mind. Prepare and maintain detailed technical documents such as Bills of Materials, design guides, testing reports, and assembly manuals.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechatronics
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering or similar field
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience working with electromechanical systems or robotics
  • Proficiency in using parametric CAD software like SolidWorks and electronics design tools such as Altium or KiCAD
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities for both mechanical and electrical systems
  • Business-level fluency in either English or Japanese
  • with conversational skills in the other language

Preferred Skills

  • Experience Working With AMRs Or Industrial Electromechanical Products
  • Strong Knowledge Of Motors Sensors And Wireless Technologies
  • Familiarity With Solidworks Solidworks PDM Altium KiCAD

Salary Range

¥5M - ¥10M (based on skills, experience, and abilities)
